SUPER DON QUIX-OTE WALKTHRU (3)

As our heroes approach an ancient shrine, a cloud of mist deploys a tall exotic female covered in painted runes (sometimes referred to as The Amazon, or Lesser Witch, or even Sausage Lady due to her bizarre demise animation). She begins to breathe a deadly vapor at our brave fighter. Press RIGHT to avoid the first blast, then LEFT for the second. Get ready to push UP quickly next as she unleashes another round of toxic spray, and Don will catapult up and out of frame into one of his ridiculously high super jumps. Watch the timing as the camera follows him over the her shoulder, pushing SWORD as he gets within range on the downswing. Don will strike the ground and miss, and the priestess will sidestep to the left.
She’ll now twirl her staff around in the air and then attack, forcing you to tap UP to dodge (this is also an alternate move, as you’ll notice Don jumps clearly to the side, so if you want more points go with LEFT instead of UP). For the last move, hit SWORD as the button appears and parry her staff attack. Don will counterstike and hack her into mincemeat.
Pyramid (Appears after Bats, Avalanche, or Priestess. Always proceeds to Geyser)
Don decides to explore a nearby temple. With a lit torch in hand, he enters, only to be trapped as a grating slams down over the entrance. He dashes acoss the entry hall, coming to a small landing of stairs, where at the top a blue skinned goblin appears in a burst of flame. At the same time, he’s also flanked by what looks like hungry, snapping peanuts. Press SWORD for the right side attack, and SWORD again for the left.
As the second wave of peanut people are waved off, the goblin will draw a fireblade and leap down upon you. Quickly press SWORD to block with your torch, which he’ll cut in half, so immediately follow with a RIGHT to back down and avoid being burned by the falling lit end. Press SWORD again to draw and parry another strike. Don will be at locked blades for a moment; press SWORD when the button appears and he’ll return swing.
The goblin will dodge and re-strike. Parry his low attack by pushing RIGHT or alternate move SWORD (extra points), and follow it with a final SWORD to cut him down. Don will exit the room and it will change to a a quick shot of the witch lamenting the loss from her ranks.
Geyser (Always follows Pyramid. Always leads to Serpent Room)
Don will pry open a metal door and jump through into the facing tunnel. The door shuts behind him, so he runs down the corridor, where at the end a magical forcefield engulfs him and brings him to a dead stop.
Suddenly, the floor bursts open and a great rush of water propells him upward into a long shaft. After a few insert shots of our frantic hero atop the wayward geyser, the camera changes angles to above. Simply watch for the open passageway (it will even flash for you as a courtesy gesture) and then press LEFT to jump into it as he flies past.
