Anaconda (Sometimes appears first. Leads to Tornado/Sand Dragon)

Indiana Jones' worst nightmare.

Dropping down from a tree branch, a giant anaconda will take our gang by surprise. Sancho and the mule high tail it out of the area as usual, while Don engages in a friendly game of snake and mouse. First jump LEFT to avoid his initial strike. Now go UP and then UP again while he tries to coil around you and get another bite (these are both alternate moves as well: go LEFT for the first UP and RIGHT for the second for more point value). Don will then run further into the forest. When the shot changes, go LEFT to cross the path and get behind the tree.

He doesn't turn well, thankfully.

The snake will follow and try to wrap around it and snare you, so hit UP to jump out of the way and exit the screen. Now you’re on a grassy cliff side. Hit LEFT to leap to the ledge, and then quickly RIGHT to grab the hanging vine. The snake will try to follow you in this fast zigzagging pattern, but will miss and fall to his doom in the deep ravine below.

Tornado/Sand Dragon (Sometimes appears first. Always leads to Jellyfish)

More pyramids…great. Thankfully they are only set dressings here. A twister appears on the horizon and moves toward your party, and you must avoid it by going RIGHT. Now get out of the way again by going LEFT when it makes another pass.

Follow the cowardly squire.

Alas, the tornado was a ruse, and emerging from it is a very large and angry dragon. It will try to run down Don while on his donkey, so watch for the prompts and press DOWN, and then RIGHT to keep you and your mule out of his grip (this last RIGHT can be substituted for a second DOWN as an alternate move). Don will depart his four legged friend finally, and you must push UP to jump over the giant scaley tail that comes whipping at you. Follow up with LEFT to jump around his talons, and LEFT again as the sand begins to funnel away under your feet.

Avoid those claws and keep tapping left as the sand recedes under you.

You’re out of striking range of the creature now, but the sand is still dropping away. Hit LEFT again to keep on top of the sand bank, and then UP as it too slides away (this is also an alternate move…use LEFT instead of UP to benefit your score). Don will regroup with Sancho and he will hand you his traveling spear. The dragon is sinking into the depression of quicksand, writhing in confusion. As Don runs up to him, go RIGHT to sidestep his attack, and then SWORD to launch the spear in a cool slow-motion hero pose. It will stick into the dragon’s eye, and with a scream he’ll disappear into the sand. Check out the well lip-synched dialogue that follows.
